Of the approximately 95 books read in the past 2 years, here is a list of favorites with #1 being the most enjoyed.

1. A tie.  Couldn't choose between the two.  Rebecca (1938) and My Cousin Rachel (1951), both by Daphne du Maurier.

2. Lady Chatterley's Lover (1928), by D.H. Lawrence.

3. Jane Eyre (1847), by Charlotte Bronte.

Note the above selections are among all-time favorites including The Great Gatsby (1925) by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Stoner (1965) by John Williams, Middlemarch (1871) by George Eliot, The Seven Who Fled (1937) by Frederic Prokosch, and The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890) by Oscar Wilde.

4. Frankenstein (1818), by Mary Shelley.

5. Madame Bovary (1856), by Gustave Flaubert.

6. To Kill a Mockingbird (1960), by Harper Lee.

7. The Cicero Trilogy, by Robert Harris.  Imperium (2006), Lustrum (2009), and Dictator (2015).

8. Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949), by George Orwell.
