Windsor is a quick 30 minutes by train from London Paddington. Windsor Castle is a sight to behold. Some interesting facts: A castle has been here since around 1070, originally constructed as a fortress by William the Conqueror to guard a strategic bend in The Thames. It is the world's oldest and largest working castle, with over 1000 rooms occupying over 480,000 square feet. In the British royal family for almost 1000 years, 39 monarchs have called it home.
Immediately across The Thames from Windsor is Eton, famous for its prestigious Eton College, founded in 1440 as a boarding school for boys. Alumni include Princes William & Harry, and authors Ian Fleming, George Orwell, and Aldous Huxley.

nice picture of you John. I can sit back on my couch and just see London without leaving the house. I was thinking of Windsor, Ca. and was it named after Windsor, England. We went to Windsor last Thursday to the Burger King.
