The Royal Mews

Today we toured The Royal Mews.  Located to the rear of Buckingham Palace, it is where they house and maintain all of the Queen's various modes of transport:  horses, carriages, buggies, coaches, and cars.

the coronation of every British monarch since George IV in 1821.
On June 2, 1953, the Gold State Coach delivered 27 year old Elizabeth to her
coronation at Westminster Abbey.
The Gold State Coach was delivered new to the
Royal Mews in November 1762.
