Ely Cathedral

Ely, a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire situated along the River Ouse, is named for the eel, the snake-like fish.  Its major attraction is the magnificent Ely Cathedral, founded by Saxon Queen Ethelreda in 672; the current Romanesque structure first took shape in 1083.
