John Soane House

The house is exactly as neo-classical architect Sir John Soane left it upon his death in 1837, filled with a mind-boggling array of antiquities including the 3,300 year old sarcophagus of an Egyptian Pharaoh.  We blogged about our first visit here in March 2020 with no pictures, but photography is now allowed.

Soane House is on Lincoln's Inn Fields, London's
largest public square

The Hunterian

This recently re-opened museum, within the Royal College of Surgeons on Lincoln's Inn Fields in Holborn, features thousands of anatomical specimens, both human and animal.  It shut down in 2017 for refurbishment.
