Kew

Today we enjoyed a visit to Kew, the leafy London district famous for its Royal Botanic Gardens.  Julius Caesar reputedly forded the Thames at Kew in 54 BC during the Gallic Wars.  Nowadays Kew is a bastion of riverside calm in the London megalopolis.

  1. Like all the old famous buildings and the scenery. Now you can take your time and not rush because you have plenty of time to just admire. Glad you are away from all the going on's here but heard they want to tear down the Ben Franklin statue. At the River the weekend but heard they were out at Golden Gate park tearing down the statues......Frances Scott Key (I guess they will have to change the school name now). Junipero Serra statue (our Archbishop upset about it.....calls it a mob) mentality.
