The Albert Memorial

The Albert Memorial was unveiled in 1872 by Queen Victoria in memory
of her beloved husband Prince Albert who died in 1861.
It's a huge, ostentatious display of Victorian Gothic design.
To me it is evocative of Byzantine art.

Ennismore

Friday, April 10, 2020:

Today's walk took us to the delightful neighborhood of Ennismore.  It was a beautiful day in London and a perfect day for a promenade.  Ennismore is rife with hidden lanes of colorful mews houses.   We met a woman originally from Waterford, Ireland, taking her adorable doggy for a bicycle ride. We returned to Kensington ambling through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
