Today we visited Wakehurst, an Elizabethan estate in West Sussex, due south of London. It was built in 1590.

West Wycombe Park
Dating from the mid-1700's, West Wycombe Park (pronounced Wick-um), in Buckinghamshire, was built for the notorious bon vivant Sir Francis Dashwood. Still the residence of the Dashwood family, it opens to visitors in the summer.
