Dorich House

Just outside Richmond Park is the Dorich House Museum, former studio home of 20th century sculptress Dora Gordine.  Built in 1936 to Gordine's design, it houses her work and a collection of Russian art she acquired.  Originally from Latvia, Dora came to London in the late 1920s and by the late 1930s was hailed as "possibly the finest woman sculptor in the world".

Within Richmond Park is the 40 acre Isabella Plantation, a beautiful woodland garden.  Today we wandered its serpentine paths.

Marble Hill

Built in the 1720s, Marble Hill House is a stately Neo-Palladian villa fronting the Thames in Twickenham, West London.  It just reopened to visitors after a 7 year restoration project.
